Pacific Valve DAC 72
Product Details
The DAC 72 Modified is for our vinyl customers that dislike the digital sound. Pacific
Valve worked with  engineers to create a DAC that had a smooth un-digital playback,
yet was close to the $700 price point.  The modified DAC 72 is a DAC that is at a price
point close to the ideal, yet provides a smooth musical presentation.  We start with a
base DAC 72 PCM1702 chip which is the predecessor to the PCM1704.

The modified DAC 72 is a contrast to the stock DAC 72. The modified DAC 72 has a
much smoother high end, not as bright as the stock across the range and has
increased dynamics.  In most systems, the DAC 72 modified will be very close to the
DAC 60 modified, yet costs considerably less

Like all Lite Tube DACs, the DAC 72 has dual R-Core transformers, 6922 / 6DJ8 tubes,
Coax and Toslink inputs and RCA outputs.
