Pacific Valve Musiland MD-11
The MD11 is the exceptional fourth generation product in the MUSILAND DAC family.  With integrated
high-end discrete headphone amplifier, stereo analog output and a high-precision clock designed for
ultra-low jitter digital processing, the MD11 delivers high performance and popular functionality.

The MD11 decoder has comprehensive compatibility, equipped with five different input interfaces
supporting up to an impressive 32bit/192kHz, including both a USB 2.0 high-speed computer interface
and the MULINK HD interface. Low on power consumption, but rich with high performance functionality
along with frequency control technology to maintain sound authenticity, the MD11 is at the cutting edge of
practical music reproduction equipment.

Built using robust FPGA technology, the MD11 has firmware that is easily upgradable, making it a
durable, long term solution; embedded with a high-speed DSP core working at up to 200MHz, and using
optimized encoding and decoding algorithms with asynchronous capabilities.

The MD11 aims for high-definition audio reproduction from a number of input formats; including RCA
coaxial, BNC coaxial and fiber optic inputs supporting up to 24Bit/192kHz and MMDI instruction. The
USB2.0 high-speed asynchronous supports up to 32Bit/192kHz and comes with the Musiland Monitor
01 USB drivers to support the extended bit and sampling frequencies.  Due to limitations in current USB
technology, the advanced 32/192K capability is not possible without replacing the drivers.

Cased in a black iron chassis with brushed aluminum panel technology, the MD11 is sleek
aesthetically. The decoder has a built-in, adjustable LCD display and comes with a full electronic
control. The MD11’s 6.25mm headphone output interface can be independently switched on and
adjusted for volume, and has incredibly low impedance and high power impedance for a negligible
harmonic distortion and SNR kept to a minimum.

presentation. Scores appreciably high for a DAC in this price range.  Highs:  Smooth tube-like highs are slightly rolled off starting at 18kHz.  Dynamics: Average
dynamics for a DAC at this price range.

Imaging / Sound Stage Excels at this price point. Images like the Modified DAC 60 - stable sound stage with air around instruments.  Resolution / DAC.
Also, very fine with Coax.  Highly recommended for higher sampling rates where it easily distinguishes between resolution and bit depth.
