Bringing Value to the Audiophile Since 2003
What is CyberServer?
Pacific Valve has teamed with Netgear to provide the reference solution for a high end music server. While USB music servers and wireless music
servers are hopelessly jitter prone, and do not have the sonic qualities of the best CD players and transports/DACs, the Pacific Valve CyberServer is a
relatively low jitter audiophile music server. Its   performance goal is to  create a computer audio library that is as good as the best transport /DAC or CD
player.  Pacific Valve used the excellent high speed, low latency streaming device from NETGEAR called the EVA9150, and modified it  so jitter is
reduced to an all time low.  Your ears will deceive you when you hear CyberServer as you will finally be hearing digital the way it was meant to be heard.

CyberServer uses a modified Netgear EVA9150 and Pacific Valve DACs to achieve the goal of low jitter and sonic purity.  Your PC is only used to rip and
store music.  Once ripped, the music resides on the Pacific Valve modified EVA9150's  solid state disk drive with no moving parts and your PC is no
longer needed,. Music plays through the Netgear EVA9150 directly to the DAC.  Pacific Valve has achieved a hallmark in sonic quality by removing the
PC out of the picture and providing a pure music server of a solid state drive and a high speed music streamer.  The technical result is low jitter and
latency.  The sonic result is musical purity.  The CyberServer browser allows the creation of play lists, browsing, random play and selected play.  In
addition to this CyberServer is the only ,music server on the market that has enough data transfer speed to support high resolution formats up to 192K.

CyberServer Videos
CyberServer Part 1 - What's wrong with USB?
In this video we look at the causes of poor sound quality in computer audio. To our
surprise, it was the computer that was responsible for the raspy digital sound. A
computer cannot deliver good sound because a computer is a computational device
and not a music streaming device.
CyberServer Part 2 - Wireless servers and hard drives
Are wireless servers the answer?  Not really - there is a phenomena called "wireless
jitter".  Wireless jitter plus latency will add to the poor sound quality . The problem is
exacerbated when sampling rates increase as two to four times data is needed for a
single sound byte. We also found latency and jitter issues with a majority of hard
drives.  However, we did find a few that make great audiophile quality servers.  We
also discuss the myths and facts behind digital cables.
CyberServer Part 3 - The Solution
The only solution is a high speed music streamer and not a computational or
wireless device. The Pacific Valve modified NETGEAR EVA 9150 is the solution.
With no moving parts, high storage capacity, easy to use browser and low E/M
interference, the Pacific Valve / Netgear CyberServer is digitally pure, smooth,
accurate and plays digital the way it was meant to be played.
