Pacific Valve QLS QA 550 and CyberMini 1.0
Product Details
Get real close to the CyberServer sound with this solid state drive media player from QLS. The QLS
QA-550 uses a standard SD card that fits into your PC. Copy WAV files to the SD card, put the SD
card into the QLS QA-550, then connect your DAC to the QLS QA 550 - and hear your DAC for the first
time. The QLS QA-550 replaces your current CD player as a mechanism for playing music.
Like the CyberServer, the QLS QA 550 has no moving parts, fans or noisy power supplies. There are
no fingerprints to mar a finish, no slow spinning disk drives, no CD based error correction and no CD
skipping. The QLS QA 550 just effortlessly plays music off the SD card directly onto your DAC.
The QLS QA 550 has the functionality you would expect in a media server costing many times more.
The QLS QA 550 has Play/Pause, Forward, Forward Skip, Backward, and Backward Skip functions.
Outputs are Coaxial and Optical. On the top of the unit is a display that shows the title and track
number.
The remote control for the QLS QA 550 has all the controls on the main unit, plus numerical indexes
for quickly playing your favorite selections. The QLS QA 550 plays 44.1 KHz 16 Bit WAV files. The
removable SDF card can be sizes from 1 – 16 GB and multiple SD cards can be used to form a
“library”. The SD cards pop in and out just like a digital camera. The QLS QA 550 comes with a 9V
power supply. The whole unit is completely portable and fits in the palm of your hand.
